Director of Education & Event Supervisor

Carrie is originally from Boone, NC where she grew up enjoying some of the best hiking, biking and rock climbing.

After graduating with a BFA in Theatre Arts from East Carolina University, Carrie attended the Florida Academy of Massage. In 2003 she earned a National Certification in Therapeutic Massage and returned to
NYC to continue her training at The Swedish Institute.

While there, she was noticed by SISTEM as a talented potential team member and introduced to the rigors of event work and team management. After graduating in 2006 and earning her NY State Massage License she was invited to join the apprentice instructor program at the school and earned a position on the SISTEM management team.

Carrie has provided massage and athlete care for the NYC Marathon, NYC Triathlon, and the NY Road Runners' elite athletes. She is excited to develop the SISTEM education program and proud to be a part of a dynamic and talented team.

Most recently she enjoyed working with the USTA, providing massage for the US Open female tennis pros. Carrie is currently pursuing her training in Craniosacral work to have another tool to offer her clients in her NYC based massage practice.
